SAMANTHA, MOTHER OF SADIE AND LILY
"When I was pregnant with my first daughter, Sadie, I was overwhelmed with the thought of breastfeeding. Would it hurt? Would I know when she was full? Would it help us bond? Luckily I had Charlotte to talk me through some of my fears. She was informative, reassuring and non judgmental. Once Sadie arrived I contacted Charlotte weekly sometimes daily with any question or concerns I had. She was always willing to drop everything and help me out. Once I had a clogged milk duct and needed help unclogging it. Charlotte offered me many solutions to get me relief. Nursing Sadie as much as possible did the trick! I breastfed Sadie for 6 months until she self-weened.
Seventeen months after Sadie was born, I gave birth to my second daughter Lily. At first, breastfeeding was easier since I'd already gone through it. At times I felt as though I didn't have as much milk as I did with Sadie so I consulted Charlotte and she showed me ways to hand express while breastfeeding which maximized my production. She also told me to keep Lily close to me and try baby wearing to help increase milk supply. I would never have known how effective that would be had she not told me. Even though I stopped breastfeeding after 3 months, Charlotte never made me feel less than or that I had failed. She encouraged me to do what I thought was best for me and my baby. I still ask for her opinion when it comes to feeding my children. There is no denying Charlotte's passion for helping mothers and babies and I am so grateful for her! "

" I’m not sure what I would have done or what my breastfeeding experience would have been like without Charlotte's help. Breast-feeding is a very personal, emotional, and sometimes challenging experience, but Charlotte approached breastfeeding from an incredibly relaxed and confident place.
She helped me through painful clogged ducts, not to mention ALL the millions of questions I had. She remained calm and encouraging throughout and she proved to be not only an excellent resource but a friend, too! "
Julia, Mother of Eleanor
“The expression "it takes a village to raise a child" is especially true when beginning breastfeeding as a new mom. I was fortunate to have Charlotte as an instrumental member of my village. Breastfeeding is hard! I may have given up without Charlotte's support and guidance throughout the learning process in which both I and Eleanor had to engage (and we're still learning). Charlotte took the trepidation of failure out of the process. She is incredibly knowledgable, yet never prescriptive.
Charlotte came to the hospital when my daughter was 1 day old and was struggling to latch. With patience and joy in the face of an exhausted, frustrated new mother and a screaming, hungry infant, Charlotte helped diagnose the issue and enabled me to nourish my daughter. Since then, she's visited me at home to help us along on our breastfeeding journey when the doctor was concerned about Ellie's weight gain. Her wisdom and supportive presence helped us persist and Ellie is now gaining weight at a just-right pace.
Not only was Charlotte there for me when I needed help, but she also has always responded quickly and thoroughly to my nursing and nutritional questions via text. Having Charlotte to consult has been truly a game-changer. I cannot recommend her enough!”

“As a new mom I had so many questions about motherhood but at the same avoided a lot of them in order to not overwhelm myself. I also wasn’t even sure if I was asking the right questions. Breastfeeding was not one of the topics I even expected to have questions on. How hard could it be I thought? I give birth, my milk comes in, I feed my baby- job well done. Well joke was on me. I left the hospital with no idea what I was doing other than the fact that I knew my baby wasn’t latching without a nipple guard and he lost weight in between leaving the hospital and his first check up. This is when a good friend of mine introduced to me Charlotte. Charlotte helped me understand the basics of breastfeeding from how the baby should latch, what it should look/feel like, and how often and long to be feeding my baby. She answered questions about how to deal with going back to work and how long I should be away from my baby without jeopardizing our breast feeding schedule (I travel from NY to LA for work). She even helped me with the simple concepts like how to store/freeze my milk and how long it will last. She basically answered all the questions I didn’t know I had until my baby was here, and I would highly recommend her to anyone (new mom or not) because I was even able to share things with family members who were on kid number 3!”
